On June 17, 2025, the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, led the Discover Motherland Africa team on an important visit to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.
This visit was part of a broader stakeholder engagement effort by the Ministry, aimed at building institutional partnerships that support the success of Motherland Festival 2025. The conversation focused on shared priorities such as diaspora homecoming, cultural integration, and new approaches to national revenue generation.
A key outcome of the meeting was the Honourable Minister’s formal expression of support for the Citizenship by Investment Bill, a legislative initiative championed by the Deputy Speaker. This bill represents a powerful opportunity to deepen diaspora engagement and create sustainable pathways for global Nigerians to contribute to and benefit from Nigeria’s growth.
At Motherland, we believe this kind of forward-thinking policy is essential. Citizenship by Investment offers more than economic value. It offers connection, belonging, and the ability for Nigerians in the diaspora to turn heritage into opportunity. It supports the goals we are working toward every day—boosting heritage tourism, driving creative sector investment, and making Nigeria a global cultural destination.
As we look toward December, where we will host the world in Lagos and Abuja, meetings like these remind us what is possible when culture and governance work hand in hand. We are grateful for the leadership shown by both the Honourable Minister and the Deputy Speaker, and we remain committed to creating an experience that is rooted in legacy and built for impact.
Stay with us as we continue this journey home.
