City Spotlight

7 days, 2 cities

Experience Abuja

Abuja Events | Dec 15-17, 2025
Abuja, the nation’s capital, opens Motherland 2025 with heritage, diplomacy, and celebration. The Opening Ceremony sets the tone with a showcase of culture and pride that welcomes the world home.

The highlight is the Motherland Ambassador Awards, a prestigious evening at the Presidential Villa where government leaders, private sector innovators, and global Nigerians gather to celebrate excellence and homegrown achievement.

For two days, Abuja stands as the capital of culture and influence, where powerful connections are made and Nigeria’s story takes center stage.

Experience Lagos

Lagos Events | Dec 18-21, 2025
Lagos, Africa’s creative capital, is where Motherland 2025 comes alive. With the Festival Villages spanning food, fashion, tech, states, and arts, the city becomes a vibrant hub of culture, commerce, and connection.

The Experience Stage adds energy with panels, performances, and showcases featuring innovators, artists, and entrepreneurs shaping Africa’s future.

Momentum builds to the Landmark Music Festival, a global stage for Afrobeats and international acts, before closing with Family Day, a celebration of joy, belonging, and shared heritage. For four days, Lagos is the heartbeat of the Motherland — bold, vibrant, unforgettable.

Community Give-Back

At the heart of the Motherland Festival 2025 lies a powerful commitment to giving back.

As part of the festival week, attendees, partners, and community leaders will unite for a full day of service projects across Lagos and Abuja, creating tangible change and lasting impact in local communities.

This initiative is a movement of compassion and collective responsibility, leaving a legacy of service beyond the festival by strengthening healthcare, empowering education, fighting hunger, and inspiring hope.
